The health and safety of your child is our top priority. At Learning Tree Home Daycare, we follow strict daily policies and procedures to maintain a clean, secure environment. From minimizing the spread of illness to preparing for emergencies, we are committed to creating a safe, healthy space where your child can thrive.
At Learning Tree Home Daycare, we believe that strong communication builds trust and peace of mind. Throughout the day, we keep you informed about your child’s health, safety, and well-being through our secure communication app. We share real-time updates including photos, daily notes, messages, and incident reports—so you’re always connected and aware of your child’s day.
To protect the health and well-being of all children and staff, Learning Tree Home Daycare is not equipped to care for sick children. We ask all families to follow our health guidelines closely. If a child displays symptoms of illness—such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, unexplained rash, or unusual fatigue—we will notify parents immediately via our communication app. Prompt pickup is required. If a parent cannot be reached, we will contact the emergency contact on file. If no one responds and the situation warrants it, emergency medical services may be called. In cases involving highly contagious illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, RSV, or pink eye, a doctor’s note does not guarantee a return. Children must remain home until all visible symptoms are fully resolved to prevent spreading illness to others. It is essential that parents stay reachable during daycare hours and ensure that all contact information remains up to date in our system.
To maintain a healthy environment, any staff member who feels unwell or shows symptoms of illness will remain at home. During flu season, all staff are required to wear masks while interacting with children to help reduce the spread of illness. If a teacher becomes ill while on duty, a backup caregiver will be contacted right away, and parents will be promptly informed.
We follow strict daily cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all children. Toys, learning materials, and furniture are sanitized regularly, and high-touch surfaces and floors are cleaned throughout the day. Frequent handwashing is both practiced and modeled to promote healthy habits. To help maintain cleanliness, shoes are removed indoors. We also operate medical-grade air purifiers in every room to improve air quality and minimize the spread of airborne germs.
We are committed to accommodating children with food allergies and dietary restrictions. All meals and snacks are prepared with care, following any allergy or dietary plans provided by families. During mealtimes, children are closely supervised to ensure their safety and well-being.
Safety is a top priority at Learning Tree Home Daycare. We maintain a comprehensive emergency plan to ensure a swift and effective response in any situation. Every child has an up-to-date emergency contact form on file, and we conduct regular drills—monthly or quarterly—for fire, earthquake, and lockdown scenarios. Our emergency plan includes clearly defined evacuation procedures and fully stocked emergency supply kits on site. All staff are certified in CPR and pediatric first aid, ensuring they are prepared to respond quickly and confidently in the event of an emergency.
